One large hall room, a meticulously adorned ceiling, a stage, an outside patio, and an old school wood bar. This place is iconic, (Queen Beyoncé shot a video here). Thirty plus years of live music 7 days a week. It continues to be the launching site for local musicians and the occasional sit ‘in (the unannounced type) by absurdly large names (Read “The Boss” Bruce Springsteen). The music is Funk, Jazz Rock, R&B, Brass Band, “you know” the sounds that define New Orleans. The crowd – Grad School types, now whether they earned their degree at one of several prestigious universities in New Orleans or on their block is for you to decide. One thing is certain, they know how to dance, drink and party.
